Bridget Wieghart has been named a Senior Supervising Planner in the Portland, Ore., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Bridget Wieghart has been named a Senior Supervising Planner in the Portland, Ore., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In her new position Wieghart will be responsible for complex transit, multimodal, congestion pricing and freight transportation planning projects in the Northwest.  She is a project manager with 27 years of experience in planning and development of transportation and economic development projects. 

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, she managed transit, multimodal corridor and freight planning at Metro, the Portland-area metropolitan planning organization. She also served as project manager of large multi-agency, interdisciplinary teams for all aspects of planning projects. 

Wieghart brings recent experience in National Environmental Policy Act and New Starts processes, including consideration of light rail, bus rapid transit, streetcar, and bus alternatives in various operating environments.       

Wieghart holds an M.A. in public policy from the New School for Social Research and a B.A. in history from Reed College.  She is a member of the American Public Transportation Association and the Women’s Transportation Seminar.
