Parsons announced that Arthur Pazdan, senior project engineer, has been recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 for 2012 by Mass Transit magazine. Pazdan, along with 39 other individuals, will be showcased for their industry contributions and for a job well done in the September/October issue of the magazine—the only magazine exclusively dedicated to public transportation.
Pazdan joined Parsons in March 2006. Over the course of his 12-year career, he has participated in more than 200 infrastructure projects of varying scope, size, and discipline. He is currently the Deputy Project Manager for the AC Transit East Bay Bus Rapid Transit project. Prior to his current position, he was the Deputy Manager for the San Jose to Merced segment of the California High-Speed Rail project. Pazdan holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a focus on multimodal transportation and a master's degree in engineering systems management from Texas A&M University.
"We congratulate Arthur for being recognized as one of Mass Transit's Top 40 under 40," said Tom Barron, Parsons Group president. "Over the course of his 6-year career with Parsons, Arthur has demonstrated a rich knowledge and commitment to the transit industry."
In its fourth year, Mass Transit's Top 40 Under 40 list acknowledges professionals who have made significant contributions to the public transit industry. Honorees were nominated by their peers and judged on criteria that included job commitment, industry involvement and contribution, achievement in his or her position, and innovation in his or her field.
