First Transit Awarded Paratransit Contract in Louisville

First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services, was recently awarded the paratransit contract for the Transit Authority of River City (TARC) in Louisville, Ky. The company will oversee the operation of the paratransit service beginning Oct. 1, 2012. This contract includes the management of 180 employees and the operation of 91 vehicles, which safely transport 350,000 passengers each year. Brad Thomas, president of First Transit and First Services is pleased to be a part of such a great transit system and looks forward to being a permanent staple within the community.
