The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce honored Commuter Advertising, Inc. as its 2011 Soin Award for Innovation Winner. The Dayton-based company, which specializes in mass transit advertising, received a $25,000 check courtesy of the Dayton Chamber and Soin International at the Chamber’s annual meeting on April 26th. The meeting was highlighted by a keynote address from U.S. House Speaker John Boehner. Also in attendance were U.S. Rep Mike Turner, former U.S. Rep. Dave Hobson, former Ohio Gov. Bob Taft, and numerous other local and state officials.
“It is my pleasure to commend Commuter Advertising for receiving this prestigious award,” said Mark Donaghy, executive director of the Greater Dayton RTA. “It has been rewarding to watch Commuter Advertising grow into the digital transit advertising leader that is has become. They have come a long way since earning their first contract with GDRTA in 2009 and we are happy to partner with them for the benefit of transit riders in our area.”
“Commuter Advertising strives to create meaningful and lasting relationships between advertising clients, transit system, transit riders, and the community as a whole. We could not have found a better partner for our initial contract than the Greater Dayton RTA,” said Russ Gottesman, CA’s co-founder. “Additionally, the support we have received from the Dayton Area Chamber has been phenomenal. We thank them very much for the confidence they have shown in us and we humbly accept the Soin Award,” he added.
