Another nor'easter created dangerous traveling conditions whether by automobile, plane or train on Thursday. Mass transit remains the best option, despite some earlier bus and rail delays and cancellations.
Travel was treacherous, particularly on the roadways, where hundreds of accidents were reported on Wednesday. At least two involved fatalities, one in New Jersey and one on Long Island. Drivers are urged to stay off the roads if at all possible, and to exercise extreme caution if it is necessary to venture out on the roads.
