OH: Licking County Transit Frustrations Continue with New Provider

NEWARK – Hope springs eternal, they say, but for local transportation service, hope faded before spring began.

Four months ago, the Licking County Commissioners and Licking County Transit officials looked forward to working with MV Transportation when the county's contract with National Express concluded at the end of 2017.

Just a couple months into the new year, the hope of a better working relationship began to sour. The MV Transportation general manager quit and the Licking County Transit general manager wonders if the county should just go it alone when the two-year contract expires.
