Before Metro Nashville unveils an official transit plan, several of the city's heavy hitters have come together to form a transit coalition to try to convince people to vote for it.

Charles Robert Bone is spearheading the coalition of about a dozen groups, including the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, working behind the scenes to drum up support for a transit plan that will include light rail in Nashville.

It's a $6 billion plan that Nashville voters would be asked to approve, likely in May, if the Metro Council approves putting the measure on the ballot.
