ON: Guelph Transit Priority Project Looking for Improvements for Now and Into the Future

Guelph Transit has done many route and customer satisfaction surveys recently, but its latest survey will help the service to grow a system that can get buses through the city easily and efficiently as it attempts to grow its ridership.

People opt for public transit when it is convenient and reliable, said Nancy Button, supervisor of planning and scheduling with Guelph Transit. And growing the system is a key priority for Guelph Transit, Button said.

So the Guelph Transit Priority Project is not looking at new routes this time but at the big-picture items along with smaller details, all of which could shave minutes from routes which can add up to hours system-wide.
