Normal Port Authority of Allegheny County operations through the Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel resumed on Monday night.
The tunnel -- which carries light-rail transit vehicles from three routes as well as 10 bus routes -- was closed at 10:30 p.m. Sunday to allow Duquesne Light workers to fix an electrical problem affecting the Fort Pitt Tunnels.
Outbound light-rail transit service resumed before the afternoon rush hour and full service resumed shortly before 9 p.m., Port Authority spokesman Jim Ritchie said.
The Wabash Tunnel, which had been closed since last week for technical problems, also reopened, Ritchie said.
The Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel is located at the end of the Smithfield Street Bridge on West Carson Street.
