CubeControl, Knorr-Bremse’s next-gen decentralized brake control system, now supports regional, commuter and high-speed trains. Building on the legacy of EP2002, CubeControl offers reproducible braking distances (RBD), even in low adhesion, via advanced deceleration and wheel-slide-protection algorithms. The compact, underfloor-ready unit integrates direct EP brake control, cybersecure Ethernet communication, condition-based maintenance and remote diagnostics. With over 130,000 units deployed globally, CubeControl ensures reliable, low-cost operation and supports autonomous train functions. Smart features include brake disc temperature monitoring, per-bogie control, long overhaul intervals and reduced spare part needs. Its lightweight, compact design optimizes space and enables fast installation and upgrades.
