PA: County Plans to Add 4 New Accessible Transit Buses

The Centre County Office of Transportation has received a grant award for $275,000 and plans to purchase four new accessible buses for its fleet.

The Centre County Office of Transportation has received a grant award for $275,000 and plans to purchase four new accessible buses for its fleet.

Transportation director David W. Lomison said the grant was given as a Capital Grand award, with $220,000 federally funded and $55,000 state funded.

The total cost per bus is $68,732, for a total of $274,926. Lomison said the buses should be available by the end of the year and he thinks they should be on the road by November.
