The city of Monroe is unveiling 5 new Monroe Transit System buses on February 28, 2018.
With the approval of Mayor Jamie Mayo and the support of the Monroe City Council, Monroe Transit received five 35-foot heavy duty buses to replace some aging buses in the fleet.
These five new buses were manufactured by California based Gillig Corp. They took 11 months to complete - at a cost of approximately $2.1 million dollars.
