L.A. Metro to continue weekday bus express service from Long Beach to Downtown Los Angeles with pilot bus line 456

The new bus service will continue to run beyond the reopening of the A Line.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) announced it will continue the bus shuttle 860 express service from Long Beach to downtown Los Angeles with the new bus line 456, a pilot program that will run beyond the Nov. 2 reopening of the A Line.      

Service on the new L.A. Metro bus line 456 will begin Nov. 4. Fares will be adjusted to the $2.50 base fare in accordance with L.A. Metro’s standard fare for freeway express lines. Service will continue to be provided by 60-foot articulated buses. Reduced fare passholders are not subject to the $2.50 base fare.

L.A. Metro bus line 456 will run on weekdays with six northbound morning trips from Long Beach to downtown Los Angeles and six southbound evening trips from downtown Los Angeles to Long Beach. The hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
