Dallas Area Rapid Transit board members Tuesday approved an interlocal agreement with Garland for street improvements in the city.
The work will be focused on intersections that are served by and benefit DART bus service with improvements such as left and right-turn lanes, not to exceed $3,202,833.
The improvements are part of an agency approved Street Repair Policy established November 22, 1994 to permit DART to cooperate with service area cities to accomplish needed repairs.
City of Garland staff identified the projects and will take the lead in procuring, constructing, supervising, inspecting and making any future changes to the plans necessary to complete them.
