New Flyer's Crookston Union Ratifies Collective Agreement

New Flyer of America Inc. annound that the members of the Communication Workers of America collective bargaining unit at New Flyer's Crookston, Minn., facility have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement.  This new five-year contract is effective Jan. 1, and will expire on Dec. 31, 2020 and replaces the previous five-year agreement that expired on Dec. 31.

"I would like to thank CWA, their membership and the New Flyer team for a negotiation that was done professionally, constructively and efficiently by both parties," said Paul Soubry, New Flyer's president and chief executive officer.

The new agreement provides annual wage increases of 2.25 percent in years one and two, 2.50 percent in year three and 2.75 percent in years four and five of the contract.  The collective bargaining agreement also provides certain wage scale improvements for members.

The Crookston plant's unionized workforce represents approximately five percent of New Flyer's total workforce in the United States and Canada.
