Driving home the holiday spirit for nearly 40 years, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) will roll out its annual Holiday Bus on Dec. 1, starting at the Mondawmin bus loop at 7:30 a.m. Driven by Santa, the specially-decorated bus will offer free rides on weekdays through Dec. 18.
Holiday Bus passengers will be greeted by Santa and his elves, who will hand out free candy canes while holiday music adds to the festive ambiance. The bus will travel along different routes throughout the Baltimore area to reach as many MTA customers as possible.
