School days are just around the corner and so is Metro. Families can make the most of their time and their budget by introducing their students to Metro's Student Q-Fare Card.
Meto is adding hours at the RideStore to make it easier for parents and students to get their discounted fares. Weekdays through Aug. 28, the RideStore will open at 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. On Saturdays it will open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Metro's Back-to-School Student Appreciation days are also expanded and staffed with New Bus Network agents who can help get students and parents ready for their new trips to school.
Students and parents will need to verify student enrollment at the time of purchase.
K-12 students can bring current school ID, class schedule, enrollment form or report card on school letterhead.
Full-time college students can bring current class schedule (showing credit hours) and a fee receipt, letter from the college verifying (current) full-time status.
With a Student Metro Q-fare Card riders can save 50 percent off the regular Metro fare, and pass through payment kiosks by simply swiping their card.
And now with the New Bus Network, students can travel to more destinations at half the price.
