Minor changes are coming to some Capital Metro bus routes beginning Aug. 23.
The changes are designed to address school year demand and create a more efficient transit system.
Capital Metro routinely makes changes according to school and university calendars to accommodate increased ridership. Select school-related trips will be reinstated on E-Bus, UT Shuttles and some Local routes.
The service changes scheduled to begin Sunday include:
UT Shuttles
All UT Shuttles will transition from summer service to full service schedules, according to school calendars:
- 640 FA Forty Acres
- 641 EC East Campus
- 642 WC West Campus/UT
- 653 RR Red River/UT
- 656 IF Intramural Fields/UT
- 661 FW Far West/UT
- 663 LA Lake Austin/UT
- 670 CP Crossing Place
- 671 NR North Riverside
- 672 LS Lakeshore
- 680 NR/LS North Riverside/Lakeshore
- 681 IF/FW Intramural/Far West
School Related Adjustments
Select school-related trips will be reinstated on the following routes to address demand during school year:
- 4 Montopolis
- 5 Woodrow/South Fifth
- 7 Duval/Dove Springs
- 20 Manor/Riverside
- 300 Govalle
- 331 Oltorf
- 333 William Cannon
- E-Bus routes 410, 411 and 412
School-related trips will not be reinstated on Route 325 Ohlen due to increased frequency that began in June 2015. Instead, the route now runs every 15 minutes during mornings and afternoons.
Other Adjustments
Capital Metro will implement minor changes to some routes in order to improve service and maintain reliability. Specific changes will include adjustments to time-points, trip times and bus stops.
