National Lift Week Set for Oct. 5-10

Aug. 10, 2015

Stertil-Koni announced that it will once again sponsor this year’s National Lift Week.

As the name implies, National Lift Week is a celebration of best practices in safety, efficiency, durability, and environmental friendliness in the heavy duty vehicle lifting industry. And, with that in mind, it’s only fitting that the recognized leader in heavy duty vehicle lifting systems, Stertil-Koni, throws its weight behind the initiative.

This year, National Lift Week will run Oct. 5-10 and will build on the success of the event’s inaugural year in 2014.

Noted Bob O’Gorman, president of ALI, “We are excited about the industry-wide safety implications associated with Stertil-Koni’s decision to invest in bringing forth reduced pricing for those purchasing a copy of our online certificate course during the week of this event. Any customer visiting ALI’s online store during Stertil-Koni’s National Lift Week who purchases a copy of the online vehicle lift safety certificate course, ‘Lifting it Right,’ will receive a discount of $5.00 off the regular purchase price at the time of sale for each course purchased.” This offer, brought to you exclusively by Stertil-Koni, is available only during National Lift Week.

Key events that will be linked to National Lift Week, and implemented by Stertil-Koni’s expansive and exclusive distributor network across North America and the Caribbean, will include live product demos, hands-on briefings and educational updates associated with the entire range of heavy duty vehicle lifting systems.

Similar to 2014, each day of National Lift Week will focus on a particular vehicle lifting system or attribute:

  • Mobile Column Monday: communicating the benefits of portable, mobile column lifting systems;
  • Two-Post Tuesday: featuring the benefits of two-post vehicle lifts;
  • Wireless Wednesday: showcasing the benefits of vehicle lifting systems that use encrypted wireless systems, rather than connecting cables, to communicate with one another;
  • "Earthy Thursday”: delivering educational material about new directions and options in “green” vehicle lifting;
  • Free-Wheel Lifting Friday: examining various lifting systems that provide “wheels-free” lifting to allow technicians to perform comprehensive vehicle maintenance and service; and
  • Safety Saturday: detailing multiple approaches that advance shop safety, including third-party lift certification, the Automotive Lift Institute’s Certified Lift Inspector Program and the importance of regularly scheduled lift inspections.

In making today’s announcement, Jean DellAmore, president of Stertil-Koni, stated, “The vehicle lifting industry in general has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, coupled with major advances in safety, features, durability and environmental stewardship.  National Lift Week presents a unique opportunity for us to not only salute these accomplishments, but also offers a powerful way in which we can give back to those who depend on, and utilize our products daily.  We are also extremely pleased to directly support ALI as a not-for-profit safety organization in this exciting endeavor.”
