ABC Companies announced the loss of a beloved member of our ABC family. Nathan Zimmerman passed away July 29, in an auto accident on Interstate 75 in Florida.
Many of you knew Zimmerman as regional product support manager or co-worker, but many more of you knew him as your friend. Everyone agrees that he was a very special person who truly loved serving others. He was born on Jan. 20, 1955 in Kyoto, Japan a son of missionary parents. He traveled throughout his young life learning the importance of service to others. These roots only strengthened and developed as he became an adult, and formed the man we all respect today.
Zimmerman has been a very important part of the ABC Family for over 20 years and never in that time did his dedication to his fellow employees or his customers waiver. Just recently ABC received a letter regarding Zimmerman from a grateful customer. They wanted to acknowledge and thank him for all of the special work he had done.
The resounding theme in every conversation about Zimmerman is his dedication to others and to a life of service. This quality followed him throughout his long career with ABC and was reflected in his personal life as a husband to his wife Juana and his family. As a further testament to his dedication to others, Zimmerman was a pillar within his church and volunteered raising funds and organizing missionary trips.
Zimmerman has left behind a legacy and has given us a standard that we should all try and achieve with our own lives. He will be truly missed.
A memorial fund has been set up to support his family. If you wish to make a donation to this fund, please contact Ed Eldridge, director of human resources, ABC Companies at 1-800-222-2875.
