The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) encourages everyone to ride MTA to the 34th Annual Artscape Festival, spanning Baltimore’s Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods of Mt. Royal Avenue and Cathedral Street, Charles Street, Bolton Hill and Station North.
The three-day event, America’s largest free arts festival, will be held July 17 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., July 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and July 19 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The MTA Light Rail stop at University of Baltimore and Mount Royal Avenue is at the center of Artscape. Light Rail service runs from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 17, and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 18. On July 19, light rail service will open at 11 a.m. and will close one hour after the festival ends. Some stops may have earlier service so check the timetable at your boarding location for actual times.
MTA Mobility customers will have greater accessibility to Artscape this year with the opening of three pick-up and drop off locations on the Artscape site.
The MTA asks customers to arrive at their station stops early to help avoid crowding. For extra convenience during your travel in Baltimore this weekend, please use your CharmCard, Monthly Pass or Weekly Pass, or purchase a Day Pass or a round-trip ticket at the start of your trip to Artscape.
The MTA also encourages Washington D.C. revelers to take MARC Train Weekend Service on the Penn Line from Union Station in the District to Penn Station in Baltimore located at the foot of the Artscape grounds. Check the MTA website for complete schedule listings.
