Lyon-Stadler to Focus on Transit Projects

Nancy Lyon-Stadler has been named a senior principal engineer in the Cleveland office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

As part of the firm’s transit and rail technical excellence center, Lyon-Stadler will be involved with transit projects throughout North America, with a focus on bus rapid transit. In addition, she will apply her technical skills in traffic engineering, complete streets and active transportation (bicycle and pedestrian facilities and accommodations) to projects in Ohio and throughout the region.

Lyon-Stadler has more than 27 years of engineering experience in both the public and private sectors, with expertise in planning, design and construction. She has been employed as a consulting engineer for 19 years and prior to that, she served as a civil engineering officer in the U.S. Air Force.

Lyon-Stadler has a B.S.C.E. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an M.S. in civil engineering from The Ohio State University. She is a registered professional engineer in Colorado, North Carolina, Ohio and South Carolina and she is a licensed professional traffic operations engineer. She is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Highway Engineers, Institute of Transportation Engineers and American Planning Association in Ohio. She is affiliated with the Transportation Research Board and serves on the board of Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Build Up Greater Cleveland.
