CDTA Holds Annual Roadeo

June 9, 2015

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is shining the buses for its annual Bus Roadeo event. More than 20 operators will compete for the Championship CDTA Roadeo title on a rigid, scored course, consisting of 10 different driving challenges. The first Roadeo started in 1985.

Local law enforcement officials volunteer their time as judges by assessing contestant driving skills, knowledge of safety rules and time performance. The three top finishers will represent CDTA at the state-wide Roadeo held in the fall. Finalists in the NYS Roadeo have the opportunity to compete in the International Roadeo held annually in the spring.
