ORT Continues Kids Ride Free Program

May 20, 2015

In keeping with the eight-year-tradition of the “Kids Ride Free” summer program, Ozark Regional Transit (ORT) has committed to providing this program once again in 2015, on all fixed routes.

ORT is hopeful that the community will take advantage of this program again this year.

Three malls, three aquatic centers, nine public libraries, four movie theatres and multiple other entertainment venues, including the Jones Center, await passengers using the bus system.

Access to these amenities, in addition to the recently-opened Razorback Greenway, are expected to cause a ridership increase over last year’s numbers.

The free fare would allow for a little more to be spent enjoying these offerings.

The free fare service dates are from May 26, through Sept. 4, and is open to anyone born in 1998 or later; essentially, age 17 or younger.  Children under age 12 are required to have an older guardian accompanying them.
