Philip Cremin Joins STV

Philip Cremin, P.E., has joined STV as vice president and chief civil engineer for the New York metropolitan area. He will report directly to Richard Amodei, senior vice president and the transportation and infrastructure division (T&I) Northeast regional manager.

In this role, Cremin will be responsible for management and oversight of T&I’s civil engineering practice in New York, providing leadership and technical guidance for the engineering team and coordination with other disciplines for current and future multidisciplinary projects within the region.

Cremin has more than 30 years of experience in civil engineering design, specializing in transportation infrastructure. He has supported the design and construction of on a number of significant transportation hubs and systems around the New York City metropolitan area, including Newark Liberty International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, JFK International Airport, the Holland Tunnel, Lincoln Tunnel, the George Washington Bridge, port facilities and the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) rail system.

His experience also covers heavy and light rail, highways and bridges, airfield design, port facilities and utility systems, with extensive expertise in new facilities and rehabilitation-type work.

Prior to joining STV, Cremin was the engineer of design for the LaGuardia Airport redevelopment program, a $4 billion initiative that included major infrastructure work, a parking garage, and coordinating the public-private partnership program with the various teams.

He was appointed to New York State Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s design review team as a technical expert for the Tappan Zee Bridge replacement, participating in the evaluation of proposals.

Cremin earned his Master of Science in civil engineering and his Bachelor of Science in engineering from Manhattan College. A professional engineer in New York and New Jersey, he also is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Manhattan College Mentor Program Advisory board.
