Just in time for summer, AC Transit has established two unique partnerships to help provide its riders with cost savings for a day of family fun.
Under the arrangement, the creatures of Earth and the majesty of the heavens are just a bus ride away for those who take AC Transit to the Oakland Zoo or to Chabot Space & Science Center. AC Transit has joined with both of these family-friendly destinations to offer special savings, exclusively for visitors that take the bus to get to either one.
The new partnership provides customers a $3 discount on admissions to science center if they ride the bus (Line 339) to get there. In addition, bus riders who use Line 46 to travel to the zoo will get an Adventure Landing ride ticket for free.
To take advantage of the offers, customers simply obtain a “promo receipt” from the bus driver and present it when paying their admissions.
In response to customer demand, AC Transit added new weekend service to the Oakland Zoo and the Chabot Space & Science Center as part of a $2.7 million annual service enhancement package this year.
The three-way partnership is part of a multi-media campaign, showing AC Transit as rewarding and accessible transportation for the thousands of patrons who visit two of the East Bay’s most popular attractions.
