First Transit announced the appointment of Sharad Agarwal to vice president, strategy and innovation. In this new role, he will utilize emerging technology to introduce innovative operational strategies for improving customer service and operational efficiencies throughout the company’s core businesses lines.
First Transit President Brad Thomas states, “Sharad Agarwal has proven himself and his teams to be a strong force within the public transportation industry. He has repeatedly demonstrated First Transit’s commitment to our customers and the ability to identify new strategies to manage our business.”
Agarwal has more than a decade of transportation experience, which includes expertise in customer service, human resources, financial planning and process improvement. Most recently, he has served as First Transit vice president, call centers.
Under Agarwal’s direction, First Transit will deliver unique solutions for demand response and fixed route operations that prepare our clients for the quickly changing landscape of transportation.
