SamTrans Rolls Out Video Introduction Of New CEO

The San Mateo County Transit District’s new General Manager/CEO Jim Hartnett is featured in an on-camera introduction being released today.

In this video he reflects on the major issues and demands on the agency as he comes aboard to steer SamTrans, Caltrain and the TA through what is widely acknowledged to be a time of great change.

Hartnett said, “I’m  joining the agency at a time when the services provided by the district are increasingly complex and in ever greater demand. To keep up with this demand the agency will have to grow and change to reflect the new realities of transit service in the Bay Area.”

The video introduction gives the community we serve an opportunity to learn about the agency’s chief executive and his thoughts on some of the pressing issues facing the transit district as he comes onboard.

The video is the first in a series of on-camera and radio podcasts the district hopes to rollout with the new general manager and other agency and regional transit industry executives.
