MMT Implements City Bus Service Changes

April 1, 2015

Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) will implement final service changes, including some exciting and much needed enhancements to the system, beginning on April 5.

  • Route 5, MMT’s busiest route averaging 900 riders per day, will now run every 15 minutes--the fastest service available. Route 5 runs between the downtown bus terminal at 127. E. Kiowa and the Citadel Mall.
  • Saturday service will be added to Routes 4, 6, and 8
  • Route 25, which currently runs along Academy Blvd. from Pikes Peak Community College Centennial campus to Voyager Parkway, will be split into two routes, Route 25 and Route 27, in an effort to improve on-time performance.
  • There are numerous additional service changes. For more information, please visit our final service change web page at mmtransit.com.

“We’re very anxious to get this service out on the streets,” comments Craig Blewitt, director, Mountain Metropolitan Transit. “The changes are going to go a long way toward improving our service and providing faster, more efficient options for our current riders as well as attracting new riders.”
