First Transit announced that the company has been awarded the contract for as the Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) broker for the Family Health Network – an Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services Managed Care Network. The contract, which began March 1, includes coordinating, scheduling, managing, and reimbursement for NEMT service requests.
Vice President Sharad Agarwal states, “First Transit is committed to ensuring safe, reliable and efficient transportation to medical appointments and other medically necessary services for all Family Health Network and Community Care Alliance of Illinois Members.”
First Transit Area General Manager, Carol Faye will oversee the services FHN’s NEMT brokerage, bringing to bear her expertise and 12 of experience managing all aspects of Medicaid transportation.
