Nov. 25--The Rush Line bus rapid transit committee is considering an additional station at Cook Avenue on its 14-mile route between downtown St. Paul and downtown White Bear Lake. That would bring the total proposed stations to 21.

The proposal comes in response to East Side community members asking for a station closer to the Duluth and Case Recreation Center and the Bruce Vento Regional Trail. This station would provide access to nearby neighborhoods and businesses, including the Hmong Village Shopping Center.

The Rush Line staff will be providing a project update at its regularly scheduled meeting, 2:30-4:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Maplewood Community Center.

The project is currently developing a health impact assessment that will be shared with the public in early 2019.

There will be two more opportunities for public input Jan. 16 at the District 2 community council meeting in Maplewood and Jan. 23 at the Payne-Phalen District 5 planning council meeting at the Arlington Hills Community Center in St. Paul.
