After years of debate, the city council finally agreed earlier this year to help fund a short-term public transportation program in an effort to gauge the viability of a long-term program.
There are three bus lines running as part of the Tupelo Transit program.
Each line runs Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to about 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m., depending on the route.
