The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has become a victim of its own success — and that is turning into a multi-million dollar problem.
The transit authority launched a pilot program in October to provide the city’s paratransit customers with rides in yellow or green taxis as part of its Access-A-Ride service.
Customers in the pilot program use an e-hail app, Curb or Arro, to request a ride that costs passengers $2.75.
