    CA: San Francisco Investor Teams Up with Buffett-fueled Chinese Manufacturer to Lease Electric Buses

    The money from Generate Capital will go to buying and leasing the vehicles that BYD supplies and markets to customers across the U.S.

    BYD, a Chinese manufacturer backed by Warren Buffet, is revving up its distribution of electric buses in the United States.

    BYD has teamed up with San Francisco investor Generate Capital to lease its buses to cities, schools and corporations nationwide.

    Generate has pumped $200 million into the program.
