In a newly released report, the City of Albuquerque's Office of the Inspector General found that city transportation department employees may have fallen short when inspecting the electric buses at the plant in California.

In a newly released report, the City of Albuquerque's Office of the Inspector General found that city transportation department employees may have fallen short when inspecting the electric buses at the plant in California.

The OIG also discovered the city may have dipped into bond money intended for other projects in lieu of receiving the $75 million Federal Transit Administration grant.

If the city doesn’t abide by the Buy America Act, which requires most of the bus parts to be made in the United States, the city doesn’t qualify to receive the $75 million.
