NE: Tri-City Roadrunner Averaging 2,000 Riders a Month

Since its rebranding and the start of its daily bus schedule, Scotts Bluff County’s public transit system, Tri-City Roadrunner, has been averaging roughly 2,000 riders per month.

Since its rebranding and the start of its daily bus schedule, Scotts Bluff County’s public transit system, Tri-City Roadrunner, has been averaging roughly 2,000 riders per month.

Public Transit Manager Shari Hinze said she has been pleased with the ridership so far.

The daily route started the year with 2,183 riders, went up to 2,233 in February, and dropped to 1,928 in March and 1,817 in April. Hinze said the service’s main stops have been at Walmart and Regional West Medical Center, in addition to large groups of students going from Western Nebraska Community College to the Panhandle Research and Extension Center.
