The union that represents Dutchess County's bus system workers are encouraging its members to vote down a contract offer, and to hold off on a possible strike.
Local 445 of the Teamsters Union plans to vote Sunday on a second offer made by the county and First Transit, which along with its subsidiary, Transit Management of Dutchess County, operates the county bus system.
The key issues that remain unresolved are pay and benefits.
