OH: Some Downtown Workers Could Get Free Bus Passes Starting June 1

A $2.84 million federal grant will help 45,000 Downtown workers qualify for free bus passes starting June 1 — if, as expected, the Central Ohio Transit Authority board approves the program Feb. 28.

A $2.84 million federal grant will help 45,000 Downtown workers qualify for free bus passes starting June 1 — if, as expected, the Central Ohio Transit Authority board approves the program Feb. 28.

Called Cpass, the program is being promoted by the Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District, an association of private Downtown property owners working to promote and improve Downtown.

A combination of the federal grant and an assessment of Downtown property owners would pay for the venture.
