Grand River Transit (GRT) could soon be providing bus service to Ayr from Cambridge and Kitchener.
At Monday’s North Dumfries Township committee-of-the-whole meeting, councillors endorsed an application by Waterloo Region to the province’s Community Transportation Grant Program.
The township’s finance and administration committee also recommended to council that staff partner with the region and GRT on the development and implementation of a community engagement strategy including the design of transit routes, levels of services, and the setting of benchmarks to measure the success of transit service once implemented.
