This is the first agency in North America to implement in-depot, overhead pantograph charging.

Edmonton Transit Services (ETS) has installed top-down pantographs in their maintenance facilities to charge their fleet of electric buses. The fully-automatic pantographs minimize personnel resources required for charging, and increases depot charging throughput and efficiency. The ceiling-mounted pantographs allow for fastest charging, reduces the amount of required floor space, and eliminates physical efforts and safety issues during charging. The units are supplied by Wabtec Bus Solutions and are integrated with the charging infrastructure. ETS is the first agency in North America to implement in-depot, overhead pantograph charging.
