AC Transit announces BRT construction sites through Sept. 18

AC Transit construction crews are currently working on installing new wheelchair accessible curb ramps, modern traffic signals, LED street light and other improvements along the 9.5-mile bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor.

DOWNTOWN OAKLAND — Broadway between 11th and 20th Streets

About AC Transit’s BRT

BRT is a $216 million investment in the community. BRT bus service mirrors the frequency, reliability and safety of light-rail train service without the high cost of building a rail line. BRT will operate along a 9.5-mile corridor between downtown Oakland and the San Leandro BART Station, primarily along International Boulevard and East 14th Street.
