Central Ohio Transit Authority to build new customer experience center

July 9, 2019

The Central Ohio Transit Authority’s (COTA) headquarters in downtown Columbus will soon undergo construction for a new, innovative customer experience center to better serve customers.

The new customer experience center will include ticket purchasing kiosks, an enhanced waiting area, a large display with COTA system information and personal service from COTA ambassadors. The space will be larger and more inviting for customers.

“We are building an experience center that reflects our innovative mission and our commitment to serving our customers and our community,” said COTA President/CEO Joanna M. Pinkerton. “This will be a place where customers will feel welcome and can learn more about how to use COTA, the mobility options available to them in Central Ohio, and make purchases that give them access to our community.”

The renovation is expected to be completed in the fall. Updates will be available on COTA social media channels and online at COTA.com.

COTA’s pass sales office will be closed during construction and will be relocated to the COTA South Terminal at 25 E. Rich St., across from John F. Wolfe Columbus Commons. The new location is accessible via several High Street bus lines, including CBUS, the free downtown circulator.

Passes can also be purchased at the ticket vending machine located outside COTA Headquarters or at more than 30 locations in the Columbus area.

COTA Mainstream customers are now able to purchase their passes at COTA Mobility Services, located at 1330 Fields Ave. Customers can also learn more about the lobby closure by calling Customer Service at (614) 228-1776.
