The current proposal, which was approved by the board in September, does not include any MARTA expansion in Gwinnett County and would reconfigure and extend bus routes, adding high-frequency buses and a bus rapid transit line from Doraville to Lawrenceville, Ga.
The upgrades include installing catwalk access and mooring bollards at Ft. George and comprehensive updates to warehouse equipment and systems, improved signage, the preservation and refurbishment of the bridge gantry, replace of the approach slab and renovations to the Ft. George breakroom.
MCDOT's BRT expansion will feature 100 stops, with BRT service arriving every five to 15 minutes.
