The beach nourishment is the first step in the agency’s plan to place approximately 540,000 cubic yards of sand along San Clemente’s beaches to protect the rail line.
The cars include pre-installed security cameras in each car, as well as additional accessible seating, digital displays that will provide more detailed station-specific information and brighter lighting and signage.
The first hybrid hydrogen fuel-cell battery-electric passenger train will serve riders on the nine-mile Arrow Corridor of Metrolink’s San Bernardino Line.
