Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is the latest city to adopt a complete network strategy and leading technology to transform its transit into a more efficient and rider-centric system. Empowered by the right data and tools, the agency brings a holistic and multimodal mindset to its transit network.

In the first two rounds of SMART Grants, USDOT awarded $148 million in funding to 93 projects in 39 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

The grant will go towards supporting a free fare program, a city-funded transit benefit offered to a targeted number of Philadelphians living at or below poverty level.
The company marked its highest ridership numbers since 2019 with more than 4 million passengers choosing to travel by train in 2023 with VIA Rail.
The plan focuses on expanding responsive and reliable services, introducing innovative service types, improving on-board amenities and expanding transit infrastructure.
The agreement includes wage increases of 14 percent during the next three years for all OC Bus drivers, as well as higher wages during training, a higher uniform allowance and bonuses for working days with historically high absentee rates.
The Quincy Evening launch follows PTS’s announcement of an on-demand transit service with TRC in December 2023.
