While leaders and countries around the world continue to grapple with how to most effectively tackle climate change, the most populous state in the U.S. believes that electrification will be key to doing so.
The new 544,000-square-foot base will include maintenance facilities and charging infrastructure for the next-generation battery-electric buses that are scheduled to begin service in 2026.
The pledge will help MTA further commit to working with more minority and women-owned businesses and firms in future projects.
Brightline says the selection of Stuart, Fla., as its next station was driven by a combination of location, physical characteristics and dynamics of the local market.
The funding will be made through the Rail Safety Improvement Program, which supports projects that aim to improve rail safety at grade crossings and along rail lines.
SacRT has received $1.7 million in federal grant funding from the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation for the development of the Mobility Hubs, which are aimed at reducing reliance on gas-powered and single-occupancy vehicles.
Crosstown Purple is the first in a series of Crossmax routes designed to move riders across the city of Greensboro faster without having to transfer buses at the depot.
Copperleaf says its platform will enable the agency to establish a data-driven process to asses and prioritize investments.
