The $12 billion, 218-mile, high-speed rail line will be a fully electric, zero-emission system and will primarily run along the I-15 median, with trains capable of reaching at least 186 mph; field work has also begun within the I-15 right-of-way.
Since implementation of full service in February, MTA has sold a combined 81,444 tickets for Grand Central Madison between LIRR and Metro-North Railroad.
In partnership with WSDOT, the I-405 Stride BRT includes the S1 Line between Burien and Bellevue scheduled to open in 2028, the S2 Line between Bellevue and Lynnwood scheduled to open in 2029 and the S3 Line between Shoreline and Bothell scheduled to open in 2028.
The prototypes feature a three-color palette of golden yellow, sky blue and dark blue to establish and reinforce a common identity for all Bay Area transit services.
The new report finds the MTA’s ability to deliver the remaining accessible stations hinges on the $15 billion in capital funding to be generated from the Central Business District Tolling Program.
The new zero-emissions platform will allow EV charging for a wide range of markets, including at events, in remote locations, for disaster response or for fleet management where charging flexibility for a large number of EVs is a priority.
