This year’s competition is calling for tech-driven approaches to support the agencies’ objectives in customer experience, resiliency and curb management.
The 1,000-mile testing process is required to ensure all safety and quality standards are met to ensure the trains can safely operate on Caltrain’s tracks when electrified service launches in fall 2024.
The Trainset and Related Services contract will be funded in part by the Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Program grant the authority received in December 2023.
The move to the new transit center marks the first time the city of Loveland has owned its transit center.
