Outlook on the conference program

IT-TRANS is a conference where the sector meets to exchange, discuss and invent IT solutions and to drill down into the issues such as account-based ticketing, the API economy, on-demand travel and more. These subjects are changing the business so the need to discuss them is now.

More than 500 conference delegates ranging from CEOs and managers to engineers, experts and consultants coming from 40 countries across the world will gather in Karlsruhe to discuss, network and participate in sessions vital to the industry debate.

High-level speakers will discuss the seven main themes of the 2018 event:

  • Data and the API economy
  • Customer relations
  • Enabling new mobility solutions and MAAS
  • Ticketing and payment
  • Operations & maintenance
  • Cyber Security
  • Autonomous vehicles

The first day of IT-TRANS (Tuesday March 6th) will include the ‘STA Workshop’ featuring a discussion on seamless travel through standards, a seminar from ‘ITxPT Seminar’, an ‘AI in PT Expert roundtable’ and the day will conclude with ‘Drivers & Enablers of Digitization in public transport’.

The second day (Wednesday March 7th) of the conference program will include ‘Operations, Maintenance and Asset Management’, ‘Smart Ticketing’, ‘Open Sources and Open Systems’ and ‘The Rise of the API Economy’ to name but a few.

The third and final day of the conference (Thursday March 8th) will see discussions and participations in subjects such as ‘The Impact of Digitization on Human Resources’, ‘Public Transport and the Autonomous Vehicle’ and a technical visit of a test area autonomous vehicle driving — Baden-Wuerttemberg, which is located in Karlsruhe. From spring 2018, vehicle systems, additional services, and applications for automated and connected driving can be tested under real traffic conditions in the Test Area Autonomous Driving Baden-Wuerttemberg.
IT-TRANS 2018 will offer you more networking opportunities with a restructured conference program to allow for more time to visit the Exhibition and connect with colleagues.
