CorpComm Expo (CCE) recently announced that Julie Johnston, Director of Learning Spaces and University Information Technology Services at Indiana University will present a seminar at 10 a.m. on the second day of the Nov. 15-16, 2016 event at Chicago’s Navy Pier.

The presentation by Johnston, entitled “The New Collaboration – Video, Interactive, Mobile” will discuss moving beyond the collaboration buzz to the real applications and benefits in the classroom and workplace and why designing purpose-built collaboration spaces is critical.

Attendees will also:

  • Discover award-winning active learning spaces designed for specific pedagogies and workplace environments.
  • Learn how to integrate collaboration technologies, displays and connectivity.
  • Understand how to capitalize on the bring-your-own-device revolution.

“When technology is thoughtfully planned in alignment with space – and especially with the intent of solving a problem or encouraging a specific type of activity or behavior in the space – the technology (especially video and mobile technology) complements the space design to create the possibility for a whole new paradigm shift in the way learning happens,” said Johnston. “To foster collaboration, spaces where learning takes place must facilitate activities that optimize teamwork.”
